Other Description:

Item 16/12/10 turned out on clean up not to be a coin at all but a piece of jewellery. Unusually on the concave inner face was embossed a decorative motif showing a bird or lizard sitting in a tree.

Historic Context:

It has to be remembered that not every item recovered from the gardens at Adam Park can be related to WW2. This item is yet to be dated
