Historic Context:
The Cambridgeshires were ordered to patrol the area betweenMacRitchie and Pierce Reservoirs on 11th February 1942. What they found was and area over overgrown plantation. thick secondary forest and a selection of tropical bugs and reptiles. They also ran into Japanese patrols and well established field positions some of which can still be seen today.
