Buried amidst the graves of the Cambridgeshires at Kranji is Captain Mitchell of the 1st battalion Leicestershires. His date of death suggests he died as a POW at Adam Park rather than as a casualty of the fighting. A search of the Leicestershire Records Office revealed a letter written by his commanding officer to his father describing the nature of his death.
