Other Description:
A junior officer’s rank badge or ‘pip’.
Historic Context:
The pip was used primarily by lieutenants and captains as part of their rank markings. This item was found on the banking adjacent to the road at No.10 Adam Park alongside a South African Sixpence and a medical syringe suggesting the pip came from a medical officer working in the Regimental Aid Post based at No.17 Adam Park
