Other Description:
A webbing buckle embedded into a lump of concrete. A trace of iron was also present running through the concrete. It would appear that the concrete was poured in and around the iron and the webbing buckle was picked up in the process. The concrete block was not recovered
Historic Context:
We can only speculate how the iron work and buckle became embedded in the concrete and then disposed of in the garden. This was possibly as a result of the rebuild of No.17 in 1948 after it was burnt down in the fire
