Other Description:

A single set of five buttons was found in the front garden of 20 Adam Park. Four buttons were 13mm in diameter but the fifth was 17mm in diameter. Each had four holes, dished shaped and were made of pressed metal. The larger button had the letters ‘GAPORE’ stamped on the inner concave face. Each button was very corroded and showed traces of a white powdering substance in the areas of greatest decay.

Historic Context:

The four smaller buttons were too far decaded to show any inscriptions but they are the same design and size as other buttons found on site that are known to be uniform buttons. The fact that all the buttons were found in one location remains a mystery.
