Historic Context:
The battalion diary included a number of maps and sketches of the fighting undertaken by the 2nd Cambridgeshires whilst in Malaya and Singapore. This included two images of the disposition of forces along the Braddell road on the 14th and 15th February 1942. The Raffles Institute requested help in carrying out a map regression exercises as part of their school project to bring Bishan's history to the public. Mr Mok Ly Yng produced a number of overlays identifying the original positions within the modern landscape, many of which now fall within the schools campus.
