Sgt Moore' POW ID Tag appears to made out of old mess tin. It is 40mm x 55mm in size. On one side is written his name and rank on the other his service number and the Japanese symbol for 'British' and 'NCO'
Historic Context:
Every man was expected to wear his ID tag at all times. New tags were made as old ones wore out.
