Scanned copies of two images of Sgt Stanley 'Pony' Moore from the book 'Battalion at War' courtesy of Gliddon Books. Copies of these photographs were included in the Moore papers sent to the project with Moore's medals. The first image shows Sgt Moore in battle dress adorned with ribbons. The second image shows Sgt Moore with his wife and child. Martin Boswell of the Cambridgeshires Museum contacted TAPP and kindly agreed to send over the images of Moore's Wallet and the contents which are in the Cambridgeshires Regimental Museum's collection. This includes the other photographs and documents he was carrying at the time of his wounding which also show the damage caused by the bullet.

Historic Context:

The photographs of Moore and his family were damaged during his wounding at Adam Park. The bullet passed through the image of his wife, something which Stanley regretted throughout his time in captivity.
